I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead. THE ANTICREPUSCULAR ECLIPSE Taken by Petr Horálek on August 7, 2017 @ Garching, Germany
Last night, on 7th August 2017, a spectacular celestial show appeared over ESO HQ Building in Garching, Germany. The full Moon was rising in the twilight colors while partially eclipsed by the Earth. Best moment occured just a minutes after the sunset when pretty significant anticrepuscular rays showed in the sky, converging in the antisolar point under the Belt of Venus, where the partially eclipsed Moon was situated as well. So shadows of clouds, Earth’s shadow in the air and the same shadow on the lunar surface… that is pretty rare to see. Used Canon 6D, Takumar 50 mm, f3.2, vary exposures for Moon and the foreground. The time difference in the moonrise sequence is 2.5 minutes.
