I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead. RARE NOVA OVER THE SUPERNOVA Taken by Petr Horalek on May 2, 2018 @ Garching, Germany
On the beginning of May 2018, astronomers noticed a „new“ star in Perseus constellation, later identified as rare dwarf nova V392 Persei. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good in hours after maximum brightness of the nova here in Garching, Germany, however I could take this unusually symbolic shot not so late after on 2nd May 2018. The nova is in the sky with foreground of new ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre. So nova and supernova in one image, indeed :)
