I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead. WANING GIBBOUS PHASE OF MOON Taken by Talha Zia on May 7, 2018 @ Karachi, Pakistan
Waning Gibbous Moon of 7th May 2018.
Attached below is a 45 images stacked of waning gibbous phase of Moon shot after dawn and before sunrise on 7th May 2018.
The image highlights lunar topography with Appenninus mountains, lava filled impact craters, impact basins, mare imbrium and mare procellerum along with aristarchus plateau and extensive cratering near south hemisphere of moon with prominent ones being Tycho and Clavius.
It also shows compositional differences of lunar surface in terms of enhanced coloring.
Its kind of mesmerizing to look at our neighbouring wolrd which though geologically inactive yet full of dramatic features.
Above all this was the result of just 3.5 inch achromat refractor telescope and an entry level dslr camera.
Equipment Details: 90mm Sky watcher Refractor and Canon 1200D DSLR at prime focus method.
Location: Karachi, Pakistan.
Imager: Talha Zia
