Anticipating the new record of days for a spotless sun in a calendar year, I send you this photograph taken on December 13, 2019. In this photograph, you can see the chromosphere and the solar photosphere completely blank. This 2019 becomes this way, in the year with less sunspots since the beginning of the space age, breaking the previous record of 268 days without spots of the year 2008. Technical data: Chromosphere: Coronado SolarMax II 90 mm Telescope and ZWO 1600 MM camera Photosphere: Sky Watcher Esprit 120 Telescope with Baader Herschel Wedge and ZWO 1600 MM camera Photographs taken on December 13, 2019 from the city of Rafaela in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina.
I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead.
