I was up early to try and catch Jupiter as it moves away from glare of the Sun. Caught it just 1° above the horizon at 6:09 am EST. Venus is brighter in the clouds and Spica is in the upper right. Jupiter

WORLD'S LARGEST PLANETARIUM OPENED IN ST. PETERSBURG

The world's largest planetarium opened in St. Petersburg. The planetarium has a dome which is 37 meters in diameter, this dome makes the planetarium larger than its American and Japanese competitors, the governor of St. Petersburg, Georgy Poltavchenko, said at the opening of the planetarium.
The new planetarium is located in an ex-gas storage facility. It is one of the buildings of the complex of the former gas plant of the Moscow Lighting Society. The building, erected in 1884, is an object of cultural heritage of federal and regional significance, it is one of the largest gasholders in Russia.
Exhibition halls, a viewing platform, a robotics workshop, an airplane model club, lecture halls will be opened near the planetarium..
