Summer solstice occurred at 10:07 AM GMT. My son Cameron created this composite in Photoshop from about 85 of the photos I took, one every minute. It shows the Sun about every 4 minutes centered on local midnight, which occurred at 1:34 AM GMT. Photos were taken with a Sony RX10 iii, 1/100 second, f/11, ISO 64, at 100mm effective focal length, elevation about 2,030 feet. I was about 23 nautical miles south of the Arctic Circle, but my elevation and atmospheric refraction enabled me to see the Midnight Sun with the bottom of the solar disc well above the horizon.
