I like astronomy, archaeology, photography, music and drinking a lot of tea. I hate politics. Something that annoys me: that I shall not respect the permanence, and to take me by what I'm not. The best sign: VIRGO. The worst: the health. The best: adapt and know how to get ahead. SN 2019EHK IN MESSIER 100 Taken by Lionel Majzik on May 3, 2019 @ New Mexico, USA
On 29 April, 2019, a Polish amateur astronomer Jaroslaw Grzegorzek discovered a 16.5 magnitude supernova in Messier 100, which is 55 million light-years away from us. Unfortunately, the supernova brightness is significantly reduced by the Messier 100 dust clouds.
On May 3, 2019, I made a remote telescope image of the galaxy and its surroundings. Using my green filter images, RĂ³bert Fidrich measured the brightness of the supernova at a magnitude of 16.32 (+/- 0.08).
