POTENTIAL RIP ON TODAYS SUN IN H-ALPHA Taken by Jim Fakatselis on February 13, 2016 @ Peppermill Skies Observatory, Huntington, NY




Seems like a big rip in the solar surface is developing in its northern hemisphere. Look closely and you can almost make out an irregular line of activity from northeast to northwest. Best viewed in color image.
