TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE Taken by Robert B Slobins on March 9, 2016 @ Ternate, Indonesia

This is how some 100 people, Elisabeth and I saw totality from the banquet patio of the Bela International Hotel in Ternate, Indonesia. Although the clouds interfered with the view, they moved quite fast allowing the entire corona to be visible piecemeal throughout totality.

I have added a sequence of exposures from 1/1000 to 1/2 second together, then multiplied a Larsen-Sekanina filter by this summation, then added a frame with the longest exposure to the result with further processing using Photoshop.

This is my attempt to imitate Howard Russell Butlers total eclipse paintings of eclipses visible in the USA from 1918 to 1932.
