THE REOPENING OF THE UMOE PLANETARIUM IN SANDNES, NORWAY TOOK PLACE IN THE PRESENCE OF PROMINENT GUESTS AND NUMEROUS PUPILS. THE PLANETARIUM IS PART OF A LARGER SCIENCE CENTRE, CALLED VITENFABRIKKEN.


ZEISS upgraded the SKYMASTER ZKP 4 planetarium projector completely with new LED light sources and installed a new two-channel VELVET fulldome system including auto calibration in the 8-m dome. The dome was also equipped with a new LED effect lighting.
