VENUS AND JUPITER RISING Taken by Manfred Molkenthin on November 13, 2017 @ Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Northern Germany

It was great to see the two planets rise over the plains of the Teufelsmoor region here in Northern Germany. The horizon stretches out at about zero degrees, so Venus was caught at an altitude of 1°09 and Jupiter at 1°16.
The picture was taken with a Canon 600d camera and a Canon 2.8/70-200 lens at 200mm, 400 ASA, 1s exposure.
In two and three days of time the waining moon will also join the two planets and provide an even more spectacular sight.
