COMET 21P/GIACOBINI-ZINNER Taken by José J. Chambó on September 10, 2018 @ Mayhill, USA



Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner imaged on September 10th 2018, just on its perihelion day at minimum distance to Sun. Moreover almost coinciding with its maximum approaching to Earth, all this do the present apparition of periodical comet as the most favorable in decades. Located into constellation Auriga in the middle of the Milky Way on a full starfield and casually passing between the large open clusters M 36 at right and M 37 at left, also some reddish interstellar dust clouds can be detected mixing between stars.
