JUPITER AT OPPOSITION Taken by David Blanchard on May 9, 2018 @ Flagstaff, AZ



Jupiter—at opposition and high in the sky—is joined by Saturn (crossing the Milky Way) and Mars (just above the horizon) shortly after midnight.

Some mid/high clouds were approaching generating wave cloud activity that was lit up from below by the lights from the City of Phoenix, located ~180 km to the south.
